Origin

A vertical city stood on its end — NGI headquarters as one structure, six expressions, 1.5 miles of permanence.

Origin is not a building. It is a city expressed as architecture — Manhattan's floor area, packed onto 107 acres of bedrock, rising 1.5 miles into the air.

Only One You, One Origin

NeuraWeb's foundational thesis is "Only One You, One Time" — every identity has one origin, one source. Origin the structure is the architectural expression of that thesis. The place from which NeuraWeb originates physically carries the name of the concept it originates from.

Permanence as a design constraint

Origin is engineered for a 500-year horizon. Materials, structural systems, foundation, infrastructure, and political/sovereignty arrangements are all chosen with that horizon in mind. Buildings come and go in 80 years. Cities last centuries. Origin is built to be a city.

Five Pillars in star-point formation around one central Spire, tied together by structural skybridges at every 100 floors. The eye reads five towers and a spire — but it is one engineered organism.

Mutual structural codependence

The Spire cannot stand alone at 1.5 miles. The Pillars distribute its load and act as buckling restraints. The Spire ties the five Pillars into a single structural unit. Cut a skybridge, the formation weakens. None of the six structures stands without the others.

Slenderness 3.24 is less slender than the Empire State Building (3.5). The reason 1.5 miles is impossible for a solo column and feasible for Origin is precisely this: the formation transforms a slender problem into a broad-base pyramid problem.

Manhattan, stood on its end

Origin sits on roughly 107 acres — modest. The interior is anything but.

571 million sq ft of interior is roughly 20.5 square miles of floor area on a 107-acre footprint. Manhattan island is 22.8 square miles of land. Origin contains the floor area of Manhattan, vertically. Equivalent to 86 Pentagons, 173 Burj Khalifas, or 42 original World Trade Centers.

Population

At ~300 sf/person mixed-use density, Origin supports roughly 1.9 million daytime occupants — bigger than San Francisco. Permanent residential population: 500,000–1,000,000.

The five program anchors

The Coliseum at Origin

Suspended in the central Void at lower skybridge tiers — the largest indoor venue ever built. NFL, soccer, basketball, baseball, hockey, boxing, MMA, gymnastics, concerts, conventions, ceremonies. From the field, sightline up the Void to the Apex, 1.4 miles open to sky.

The Concert Hall

Stacked above or below the Coliseum in the Void — 15,000–25,000 seats, dedicated to music. Acoustically tuned independently.

The Telescope

The highest large-aperture optical telescope on Earth, integrated into the Apex. Effective elevation ~13,000–14,000 ft on the Colorado Plateau site. Not the world's largest aperture, but the highest — and the only telescope of its class on continuously stable bedrock.

The University of Origin

A full university embedded in Origin — medical school, engineering, sciences, arts, law. Distributed across the formation; clinical and research integrated with Origin Hospital and the Telescope respectively.

Districts

The remaining 2,800-floor envelope is residential, commercial, civic, agricultural, and industrial space organized into vertical districts — neighborhoods at elevation rather than at distance.

Where you build a vertical Manhattan

The structural concept demands a 107-acre continuous bedrock raft — one unbroken mechanical unit. Differential settlement of even six inches across the formation tears the skybridge tendons. That single requirement rules out almost every site on Earth.

Leading: Colorado Plateau

Tribal partnership in the Navajo or Hopi nation territory, southwest of Page AZ or in the Kayenta/Tuba City corridor. Stable Precambrian basement under sedimentary cover. 5,000–7,000 ft base elevation puts the Apex at ~13,000 ft. Iconic landscape, visible 150+ miles in clear desert air. Water access via Colorado River pipeline. Sovereignty model uniquely available in North America.

Backup: Wyoming Craton

Among the oldest, most stable continental crust on Earth. Granite at or near surface. Empty land, federal lease. Tighter water, less iconic, more pragmatic.

Audacious: West Texas Trans-Pecos

Strong geology, strong Texas-level sovereignty advantages. Catastrophic water scarcity — deferred unless desalination or a 500-mile pipeline becomes viable.

Pending Final coordinates and partnership instrument.

Where Origin stands today

Concept project. Structural feasibility confirmed at first-principles level: slenderness, materials, wind, foundation, all inside the engineering envelope. The hard problems are construction sequencing, time (15–25 year build), cost ($80–150B), workforce (30–60K trades on site simultaneously), and assembling an engineering consortium willing to put their name on a 1.5-mile structure.

Open decisions

  • Pillar names — framework lock (Virtues / Cardinal / Celestial). Currently P-N through P-NW.
  • Whether the Spire takes its own proper name or stays "the Spire."
  • District map — elevation-band organization vs Pillar-internal districts.
  • Final site selection and sovereignty instrument.
  • Engineering consortium assembly.
