Turai Rishon Moshe Peretz served in the Israel Defense Forces. Moshe served with the Armored Corps. Moshe served in the Six-Day War. Moshe was 25 years old.

What Happened

בן חביב וסוליקה. נולד ביום כ"ז בסיון תש"א (22.6.1941) בקזבלנקה שבמרוקו. למד בחוץ-לארץ ועבר את לימודי רוב הכיתות של בית-ספר יסודי וכשהמשפחה עלתה לארץ בשנת 1954 המשיך ללמוד ב"ישיבה" בבאר-שבע. את לימודיו סיים בבית-ספר דתי יסודי. לאחר-מכן למד שנה אחת בתיכון-ערב. התעניין בספורט והתמסר למשחקיו. את פרנסתו מצא בחקלאות והיה אחד ממנהלי "תנובה". גויס לצה"ל במאי 1959. מדי פעם היה יוצא למילואים. במסגרת זו היה בפרוץ מלחמת ששת הימים, ובשעת טיהור ציר ג'בל-ליבני-אבו-עגילה, בקרב שנערך בג'בל-ליבני שבסיני, נפל; זה היה ביום כ"ח באייר תשכ"ז (7.6.1967). הניח אשה ושתי בנות. לדברי חבריו ומפקדיו לא ידע משה פחד בקרב, הוביל את אנשיו בהתקפה ועמד בראש המסתערים על עמדות-האויב. הובא לקבורה בבית-הקברות הצבאי לשעת-חירום בבארי ולאחר זמן הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי שעל הר-הרצל בירושלים. שמו הונצח בחוברת "הסנטריונים" בהוצאת גדודו וכן בספר "יד לנופלים" שבהוצאת עיריית אשקלון.
