Senior NCOs serve as the principal advisors to commanders and staff officers on all matters pertaining to enlisted Soldiers. They bring decades of expertise and are the backbone of unit cohesion.
Warrant Officers are the Army's adaptive technical experts, combat leaders, trainers, and advisors. They administer, manage, maintain, operate and integrate Army systems across the full spectrum of operations.
Commissioned Officers are the managers, problem solvers, key influencers and planners who lead enlisted Soldiers in all situations. They plan missions, give orders and assign Soldiers tasks.
General Officers command the largest Army formations and serve as senior advisors to national leadership. They are responsible for the readiness, training and operational effectiveness of the entire force.
