בן מרים ונחום, נולד בשנת 1924 בירושלים. בעודו ילד עברו הוריו לרחובות. גדל במושבה, ומשסיים את לימודיו נעשה לפועל בפרדס והתמחה כאורז. הקים משפחה ונולדה לו בת. מגיל 16 חבר כוחות המגן. עבר את אימוני הפלמ"ח. סגן דוד נפל במילוי תפקיד חשוב ביום י"ז באב תש"ח (22.8.1948). הניח אחריו אישה, מרים ובת. מצבה לזכרו הוקמה בבית-הקברות הצבאי בהר-הרצל בירושלים. החלל הינו מקל''ן- חלל שמקום קבורתו לא נודע.
