Turai Shaul Holzman served in the Israel Defense Forces. Shaul served with the Infantry. Shaul served in the War of Independence. Shaul was 25 years old.
בן חנה ויעקב, נולד ביום כ"ה באלול תרפ"ב (18.9.1922) בבוקרשט, בירת רומניה ולמד בבית-ספר יסודי. היה טכנאי שיניים לפי מקצועו, ועסק בציור כתחביב. בשנת 1941, בהיותו בן 18, התגייס לצבא הרומני ונשלח לחזית. שירת כחייל עד סיום מלחמת-העולם השנייה. בשנת 1947 נסע לאיטליה, לבקר את אחותו ואחיו ובני משפחותיהם, ששהו שם כפליטי מלחמה במחנות העקורים, והתכוונו לעלות לישראל. בשנת 1948, זמן קצר לאחר הכרזת המדינה, עלה לארץ והתגייס לצבא, לתרום את חלקו במאבק לעצמאות. כחודש לאחר עלייתו, נפל בעת מילוי תפקידו. הקרב שבו נפל ומקום קבורתו לא נודעו עד היום. מצבה לזכרו הוקמה בבית-הקברות הצבאי בהר-הרצל בירושלים. בנופלו היה רווק בן 26 שנים. החלל הינו מקל''ן- חלל שמקום קבורתו לא נודע.
