Turai Dov Leibovitch served in the Israel Defense Forces. Dov served with the Armored Corps. Dov served in the War of Independence. Dov was 20 years old.
בן רוזה וסנדר, נולד ביום י' בסיוון תרפ"ז (10.6.1927) בעיר חוש, רומניה. בעיר הולדתו למד בבית-ספר יסודי, וכאשר הוריו התגרשו עבר להתגורר עם אמו בבית הורי אמו, בעיר אחרת. דוב הצטרף בנעוריו לתנועת-נוער ציונית ובחברתם עלה בחודש ספטמבר 1947 לארץ-ישראל דרך מחנות העצורים בקפריסין. בארץ התגייס ונשלח עם חטיבת "עודד" להגנת מלכיה מפני הצבא הלבנוני. חבריו ליחידה תיארו את דוב כאדם עדין נפש, מלא מרץ ומוכן לכל פעולה. ביום כ"ז באייר תש"ח (5.6.1948) הסתער כוח לבנוני על מלכיה וכבשה. בקרב זה היו לצה"ל נפגעים רבים, ביניהם שלושה נעדרים. אחד מהם היה דוב שמקום קבורתו לא נודע. מצבה לזכרו הוקמה בבית-הקברות הצבאי בהר-הרצל בירושלים. החלל הינו מקל''ן- חלל שמקום קבורתו לא נודע.
