בן חדר, נולד בשנת 1910 בכפר טובא שבגליל העליון, בן לשבט ערב אל היב. בחודש יולי 1948 פנה קצין המודיעין של ה"הגנה" אל ראש השבט וביקשו לשלוח איש נאמן עליו לאזור עקרבה שליד צפת כדי לברר מדוע נמצאים שם חיילים סוריים רבים. ראש השבט חסין מחמוד עלי היב (אבו יוסף) פנה אל דיב אל-חדר ואדם נוסף והטיל עליהם את המשימה המודיעינית. השניים נתפסו על- ידי החיילים הסוריים, נשלחו לכלא וכעבור שבוע הובאו למשפט. האדם השני, שלא היה אדם דתי, נשבע בקוראן לומר את האמת, הכחיש כל קשר ליהודים, נשפט לשלושה חודשי מאסר ויצא לחופשי. דיב היה מוסלמי אדוק ומאחר שנשבע בקוראן לומר את האמת לא התכחש לה והודה כי נשלח על-ידי המודיעין הישראלי למטרות ריגול. דיב הואשם בבגידה בעם הערבי ובחודש אוגוסט 1948 הוצא להורג בכפר תרשיחא. השאיר אחריו, אישה מרים דבאן ושישה ילדים קטנים. דיב חויל לצה"ל לאחר מותו. מקום קבורתו לא נודע עד עצם היום הזה. החלל הינו מקל''ן- חלל שמקום קבורתו לא נודע.
