Turai Yehuda Benyamini served in the Israel Defense Forces. Yehuda served with the Infantry. Yehuda served in the Six-Day War. Yehuda was 23 years old.

What Happened

בן עזיז וג'יירן. נולד ביום ח' בניסן תש"ד (1.4.1944) בעיר סקס אשר בפרס. המשפחה עלתה לארץ בשנת 1950. יהודה סיים את לימודיו בבית הספר היסודי "בית יעקב" אבל בגלל המצב הכלכלי הקשה במשפחה לא יכול היה להמשיך את לימודיו עם כל רצונו העז לקנות ידיעות. התעסק בתיקון תקרים בצמיגים. מאחר שלא יכול היה להמשיך ללמוד בעצמו אמר להכניס את אחיו הקטנים לבית ספר כדי שהם ילמדו ויהיה להם עתיד טוב בחיים. הוא עודד אותם על ידי מתנות כדי שיקבלו תעודה טובה יותר. היה בעל לב טוב ובשעה שגויס לצה"ל בנובמבר 1961 שירת בחיל "גולני" והיה אמיץ, ממושמע ומוכן לעזור לחבריו בשעת הצורך. אחרי שנתשחרר מן הצבא היה יוצא למילואים בהקראו. בקבלו את צו הקריאה ערב מלחמת ששת הימים היה במחלקת המרגמות וביום השני לקרבות, הוא כ"ז באייר תשכ"ז (6.6.1967), נפל בשעת הפגזה בקרב שנערך בקרבת בית החולים האיטלקי בירושלים. הובא למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות הצבאי שעל הר הרצל בירושלים. זכרו הועלו בבטאון הסתדרות פועלי הבניין, "יסודות" וגם בבטאון של המועצה המקומית של רעננה.
