Rav Turai Eliyahu Mor-Yosef served in the Israel Defense Forces. Eliyahu served with the Armored Corps. Eliyahu served in the Six-Day War. Eliyahu was 29 years old.
בן דויד ומסעודה. נולד ביום כ' במרחשון תרצ"ט (14.1.1938) בעיר מרקש אשר במרוקו. שם סיים את לימודיו בבית-הספר היסודי "אליאנס" ולאחר שסיים אותם עבר לבית-הספר התיכון המקצועי "אורט" ולמד בו עד יום סיימו את לימודיו. היה מסגר חרט וכך מצא את פרנסתו. היה מדריך ספורט ובמועדוני-נוער היה מקרין סרטים. בשנת 1956 עלתה המשפחה לארץ. גויס לצה"ל בפברואר 1958 ולאחר-מכן היה נקרא לשירות-מילואים מדי פעם. במלחמת ששת הימים לחם אליהו כשריונאי והוא חזר לקרב לאחר מחלה, כי היה חייל למופת, ממושמע ונכון לבצע את כל המוטל עליו. במושב ברק אשר בחבל תענך נפל בהפגזת אויב מן האויר ביום השני לקרבות, הוא כ"ז באייר תשכ"ז (6.6.1967). הניח אשה ובת - והאשה היתה בהריונה בנפול בעלה. הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בעפולה ולאחר זמן הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי שעל הר-הרצל בירושלים.
