בן גולדה וצבי, נולד ביום ל' באב תר"ף (14.8.1920) בסביבת קישינוב, בסרביה, רומניה, למשפחת-פועלים ענייה. הוא סיים בית-ספר עממי ובגיל 13 הצטרף לתנועת "גורדוניה". בשנת 1940 הגיע לארץ והצטרף לקבוצת חניתה. היה רועה-צאן וכעבור שנים מספר של חברות במשק עזב את חניתה ועבר לרחובות. שם החל ללמוד את מקצוע החרטות. היה חבר המפלגה הקומוניסטית הישראלית וחבר הוועד המקומי של המפלגה ברחובות. עם פרוץ מלחמת-העצמאות כחבר ה"הגנה", התגייס עם המתנדבים הראשונים לחטיבה 7, שזה עתה הוקמה, על אף בריאותו הרופפת. בקרב על לטרון, בפעולת "בן-נון" נפל ביום י"ז באייר תש"ח (26.5.1948). ביום כ"ה בחשוון תש"י (17.11.1949) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בהר- הרצל בירושלים.
