Segen Mark Levi served in the Israel Defense Forces. Mark served with the Armored Corps. Mark served in the War of Independence. Mark was 27 years old.
בן הלנה וסלואדור (שמואל) אנדרה, נולד ביום ט"ו באלול תרפ"א (18.9.1921) בפריז, בירת צרפת. היה סטודנט בפקולטה לרפואה. לאחר כיבוש צרפת על-ידי הגרמנים השתתף בפעולות המחתרת היהודית בצרפת בתקופת הכיבוש הגרמני, קיבל דרגת קצין בצבא הצרפתי והשתתף בשחרור פריז. במאי 1948 עלה ארצה והתנדב לחטיבת הנגב. מרק-נתן השתתף בכיבוש באר שבע. היה שולח מהחזית תיאורים לעיתון הציוני "רנסנס" (תחיה) בצרפת, שעשו הרבה לעורר את הלבבות והעידו על כשרון עיתונאי מובהק. מרק-נתן נהרג בדרכו לתל-אביב, כשהג'יפ שנסע בו עלה על מוקש, ביום כ"ב בתשרי תש"ט (25.10.1948). טקס מסירת תעודות-גמר למחזור הראשון של טייסים עבריים בצרפת, שנערך אחרי מותו, נקרא על שמו. ביום ו' באלול תש"ט (31.8.1949) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת יצחק.
