Turai Israel Dantziger served in the Israel Defense Forces. Israel served with the Armored Corps. Israel served in the War of Independence. Israel was 16 years old.
בן חיה ויהושע, נולד ביום ד' באב תרצ"א (18.7.1931) בתל-אביב. בהיותו בן שש נתייתם מאביו. ישראל סיים בית-ספר עממי ולמד בבית-ספר למסחר. הוא הרגיש צורך להקדים לסיים את הלימודים כדי שיוכל לסעוד את אמו. ישראל עבד כפקיד. היה חבר תנועת "השומר הצעיר" והקדיש לה את כל לבו. לשם פעילות בה הוסיף שנתיים לגילו הנכון. בפרוץ מלחמת-העצמאות עבר אימון מרוכז, שמר בבית-החרושת לספירט ליד מקווה ישראל ויצא להכשרת נגבה. הוא הצטרף לפלמ"ח לחטיבת הנגב ושימש כחובש מחלקתי. בליל 2-3 ביוני 1948, במסגרת מבצע "פלשת", סייעה פלוגתו בהתקפת כוחות חטיבת "גבעתי" על המערך המצרי באשדוד. ההתקפה נבלמה באש כבדה של האויב והכוחות נאלצו לסגת. ביום ביום כ"ה באייר תש"ח (3.6.1948) נפל, בעת הנסיגה מאשדוד. נקבר בניצנים. ביום ו' באלול תש"ט (31.8.1949) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת יצחק.
