בן מרים ומחלוף, נולד בשנת 1924 בקזבלנקה, מרוקו. בהיותו בן שנה נתייתם מאביו. לאחר שסיים בית-ספר יסודי עבד תחילה כסנדלר ואחר-כך היה לסוחר. התגבר על קשיי היציאה ממרוקו ועלה לארץ בשנת 1948 להתנדב למלחמת-העצמאות. עם בואו התגייס, שירת בחטיבת "אלכסנדרוני" וירד עימה לדרום. בעת מבצע "חורב", נערך מבצע "חיסול" נגד "כיס פלוג'ה", שבו היתה נצורה חטיבה מצרית. ההתקפה נערכה על אגפו המזרחי של ה"כיס", באזור עיראק אל-מנשיה. כוחות "אלכסנדרוני" פרצו לכפר מדרום והשתלטו על חלקו, אך הסתערותם על התל שמצפון לכפר נהדפה. בינתיים התאוששו המצרים ותקפו נגד ואילצו את כוחותינו לסגת. חלק מהכוח נלכד בתוך הכפר. בקרב זה נפל, ביום כ"ו בכסלו תש"ט (28.12.1948). נקבר בפלוג'ה. הניח אישה, אסתר. לאחר זמן הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת יצחק.
