Turai Batya Levi Yadid served in the Israel Defense Forces. Batya served with the Infantry. Batya served in the War of Independence. Batya was 15 years old.
בת רוזה ויעקב, נולדה ביום ו' בניסן תרצ"ג (2.4.1933) בשכונת זיכרון אחים בירושלים. היא למדה בבית-ספר יסודי של "אליאנס" ומשסיימה את חוק לימודיה התחילה ללמוד את מלאכת התפירה. בתיה היתה נערה אמיצה, הצטרפה בחשאי ל"הגנה" (רק כעבור שנה גילתה את הסוד להוריה במכתב שהשאירה בבית בצאתה לאימונים של כמה ימים) וקיימה במסירות את כל אשר הוטל עליה במסגרת הגדנ"ע. היתה נערה יודעת ספר ופירסמה חיבורים בעלוני התנועה. ימים מספר לפני נפילתה אמרה לאמה: "אמא, אם אני אמות אל תבכי - זה למען המולדת". ביום א' בסיוון תש"ח (8.6.1948) הלכה למלא את תפקידה בעבודות ביצורים בתלפיות, ובדרך נפגעה מפגז ומאמצי הרופאים להצילה לא הצליחו. בת 15 היתה במותה. נקברה בשייח'-באדר א'. ביום כ"ח באלול תש"י (10.9.1950) הועברה למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בהר- הרצל בירושלים.
