Turai Darush Etzli Shaul served in the Israel Defense Forces. Darush served with the Infantry.
בן עובדיה וכתון. נולד בשנת תרע"ז (1917) בעיר זאכו שבכורדיסטן (עירק). שירת בצבא בארץ-מולדתו למעלה משנתיים. היה איש תם וישר, טוב-לב ורודף-שלום. תמיד דיבר בשבחה של הארץ באזני חבריו ומכריו. עזר לכל יהודי לעלות אליה ואף הוא עצמו שאף לכך. אהבתו לארץ הגיעה לידי כך שהוא האמין וגם אמר, כי זכות היא לאדם שיוציא את נשמתו על אדמת-ישראל. לבסוף, בשנת 1950, עלה. בזמן שירותו בעתודות, ביום כ"א בטבת תשי"ב (19.1.1952), נפל בשעת מילוי תפקידו. הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי שעל הר-הרצל בירושלים. הניח אשה.
