Turai Isashar-Zohar Aminov served in the Israel Defense Forces. Isashar-Zohar served with the Infantry. Isashar-Zohar served in the War of Independence. Isashar-Zohar was 21 years old.

What Happened

בן יפה ונתנאל, נולד בראש חודש אלול תרפ"ז (28.8.1927) בתורכיסטן, רוסיה ועלה ארצה בשנת 1934. לאחר סיום בית- הספר העממי השתלם בשיעורי-ערב, ובו בזמן עבד גם בליטוש יהלומים ופירנס את הוריו הזקנים והחולים. לפי צו הגיוס שקיבל גויס לצה"ל ביום 9 במרס 1948 ושירת בחטיבת "אלכסנדרוני". מפקדיו מעידים עליו שהצטיין בגבורה בלתי-רגילה. היה בעל הכרה לאומית עמוקה ומאמין בניצחון. בעת מבצע "חורב" נערך מבצע "חיסול", שנועד לחסל את "כיס פלוג'ה", שהיתה נצורה בו חטיבה מצרית. ההתקפה נערכה על אגפו המזרחי של ה"כיס", באזור עיראק אל-מנשיה. כוחות "אלכסנדרוני" פרצו לכפר מדרום והשתלטו על חלקו, אך הסתערותם על התל שמצפון לכפר נהדפה. בינתיים התאוששו המצרים ותקפו נגד ואילצו את כוחותינו לסגת. חלק מהכוח נשאר לכוד בתוך הכפר. בקרב זה נפל יששכר, ביום כ"ו בכסלו תש"ט (28.12.1948). הוא נקבר בפלוג'ה. כעבור זמן הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת יצחק.
