Turai Yehezkel Avraham served in the Israel Defense Forces. Yehezkel served with the Engineering corps. Yehezkel served in the Six-Day War. Yehezkel was 20 years old.

What Happened

בן שלום ועטיה. נולד ביום הכיפורים תש"ז (5.10.1946) בבגדד בירת עירק. המשפחה עלתה לארץ בשנת 1950. אחרי שיחזקאל סיים את לימודיו בבית הספר היסודי בגבעת המורה, למד בבית הספר המקצועי "עמל" בחיפה והיה חרט רתך בבית חרושת שבעין חרוד. בשעות הפנאי היה אוהב להרבות בקריאה. בגיל שבע-עשרה ומחצה התנדב לנח"ל, עבר מספר קורסים ובין השאר היה גם חבלן. אחרי תקופת הטירונות וסיום הקורסים עבד במשק יפתח בגליל העליון. כתום שירותו הצבאי המשיך לעבוד באותו בית חרושת שבו היה עובד ובאופן כזה תמך במשפחתו. כאשר נקרא לדגל בערב מלחמת ששת הימים יצא למלא את חובתו לעמו ולמולדתו, וביום השלישי לקרבות, הוא כ"ח באייר תשכ"ז (7.6.1967), נפגע מרסיס פגז בקרב שהתחולל מערבה לאל-עריש. הובא לקבורה בבית הקברות הצבאי לשעת חירום בבארי ולאחר זמן הועבר למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות הצבאי שעל הר הרצל בירושלים. זכרו הונצח בספר "על במותיך חלל", בהבאת הביוגרפיה שלו.
