Turai Haim Elkahail served in the Israel Defense Forces. Haim served with the Infantry. Haim served in the Six-Day War.
בן מאיר ורחל. נולד בשנת תרצ"ז (1937) בעיר רבט אשר במרוקו. סיים את לימודיו בבית ספר יסודי. עלה לארץ בשנת 1963 והיה מתפרנס כדפס. השתייך לפלוגת הספורט של בית"ר. גויס לצה"ל באוקטובר 1963 כאיש מילואים. היה חייל טוב וממושמע. נהג לפי כל ההוראות והיה אהוב על חבריו ומפקדיו. בפרוץ מלחמת ששת הימים נקרא לדגל, וביום השני לקרבות, ביום כ"ז באייר תשכ"ז (6.6.1967), הוא היום השני לקרבות, נפל במבואות עזה. הניח אשה ושלושה ילדים. הובא לקבורה בבית הקברות הצבאי לשעת חירום בבארי ולאחר זמן הועבר למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות הצבאי שעל הר הרצל בירושלים. את אהבתו לבני משפחתו הביע במכתב האחרון שנכתב יום לפני נפלו, מכתב בו הרגיע את אשתו שלא תדאג לו ונתן ביטוי לאהבתו וגעגועיו אליה ולילדיו. במכתב התנחומים אשר שלחו חבריו ומפקד הפלוגה צויינה יכולתו לתת יד לכל משימה קשה, אהבתו לכל אדם ורגש החברות לכל אחד מהם.
