Turai Daniel Levi served with the Etzel. Daniel served in the War of Independence. Daniel was 21 years old.
בן ונטורה ויצחק, נולד ביום ג' בשבט תרפ"ז (6.1.1927) בעיר סנטה קלרה, קובה. ילדותו עברה עליו בעיר מטנסס ובה סיים לימודיו היסודיים. לאחר שמשפחתו עברה לעיר הבירה הוואנה, המשיך דניאל את לימודיו בבית-ספר תיכון וזכה למלגת-לימודים באוניברסיטה, בה למד רפואה. לאחר קבלת התואר עבד זמן מה בבית-החולים "קליסטו גסייה" שבהוואנה. בצד לימודיו היה ספורטאי מעולה ופעיל באגודת "מכבי" ובתנועה הציונית בעיר. בשנת 1947 התגייס לפעילות לטובת הארגון הצבאי הלאומי, ובין השאר אירגן חבורה של שמונה-עשר חברי האגודה בקבוצת אצ"ל שעלתה לארץ-ישראל ב"אלטלנה", אוניית הנשק של הארגון. ביום ט"ו בסיוון תש"ח (22.6.1948) היה בין חללי האצ"ל שנפגעו ונהרגו על סיפון האונייה מן האש שנורתה עליהם מחוף תל-אביב. הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת יצחק. הניח הורים וחמישה אחים.
