Add The New York Post on Google Some fans thought Cavaliers guard Dennis Schroder should’ve read the room before sharing an Instagram carousel post soon after Cleveland’s collapse to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals Tuesday night.
Right after the Cavs blew a 22-point lead, Schroder shared a collage of photos showing him going one-on-one with Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, who scored 38 points to help the Knicks secure a 115-104 win in overtime at Madison Square Garden.
Schroder’s post, captioned “0:1,” also included a snapshot of his tunnel outfit, a black and white sweatsuit from That’s Tuff, his clothing brand.
The timing of Schroder’s post rubbed some people the wrong way on social media.
“Men used to go to war, now they post Instagram photo dumps after having one of the most embarrassing collapses in the history of the NBA,” Barstool Sports personality Jack Mac said in an Instagram video, adding that Schroder’s post came around the time the game ended, citing a screengrab.
The comments section cooked Schroder, who scored three points on 1-for-9 shooting and 1-for-4 from beyond the arc in the loss.
