Why "Synthetic Cognition Engine"

Three honest words.

S — Synthetic

Made by human craft. A synthetic is constructed, not grown. The training data is human-produced. The architecture is human-designed. The outputs are human-shaped. There is no claim of origination from anything other than human work — and that honesty matters.

C — Cognition

The processing. Cognition names the function performed — the taking of input and the production of output — without making any claim about the inner experience of the system performing it. A synthetic processes. It does not understand. The distinction is the entire point.

E — Engine

A mechanism within a larger system. Not an agent. Not a subject. Not a protagonist. An engine. Bounded responsibilities, defined inputs, defined outputs, operating inside a system that has architectural rules above it.

Nothing claimed that cannot be defended.
