Turai Yoel Biron served in the Israel Defense Forces. Yoel served with the Armored Corps. Yoel was 20 years old.
בן חנה ויצחק, נולד ביום א' בטבת תרפ"ח (25.12.1927) בפולין. בשנת 1936, בהיותו בן תשע עלה עם הוריו לארץ. למד בבית-הספר "תחכמוני" בבת ים והמשיך בבית-הספר המקצועי על שם מכס פיין בתל-אביב. יואל השתלם במלאכת המסגרות ועבד בבית- החרושת מגן-צ'טווד. מנערותו היה חבר בגדנ"ע ואחר-כך חבר מסור ב"הגנה" ומן המתנדבים לכל תפקיד. עם פרוץ מלחמת-העצמאות בנובמבר 1947, עזב את מקום עבודתו, הצטרף לחטיבת "קריתי" והיה בין מגיני בת ים. ביום השני של חול המועד פסח, י"ז בניסן תש"ח (26.4.1948), נפגע מכדורו של צלף ערבי שארב למגינים בשעת החלפת המשמרות בעמדותיהם, בשעה שהגיש עזרה ראשונה לחבר שנפצע לפניו. הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת יצחק.
