Turai Hananya Ben-Simon served in the Israel Defense Forces. Hananya served with the Infantry.
בן שמעון וחביבה. נולד ביום כ"ח בכסלו ת"ש (10.12.1939) בקזבלנקה אשר במרוקו. בשנת 1952 עלתה המשפחה לארץ. כשעלה לארץ נכנס לקיבוץ דתי של "הפועל המזרחי", ושהה בקיבוץ שלוחות אשר בעמק בית שאן. ביולי 1957 גויס לצה"ל וכאשר השתחרר מן הצבא עבד כפועל בניין עד שהסתדר בעבודה בדואר. מפעם לפעם היה נקרא לשירות מילואים. חנניה המשיך לעבוד בדואר עד שנקרא שוב למילואים ונפל על משמרתו בשעת מילוי תפקידו ועקב שירותו ביום ט' בטבת תשכ"ח (10.1.1968). הובא למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות הצבאי שעל הר הרצל בירושלים.
