Turai Micha Ben-Menashe served in the Israel Defense Forces. Micha served with the Armored Corps. Micha served in the War of Independence. Micha was 20 years old.
בנם-יחידם של מיטה ומשה, נולד ביום י"ט בשבט תרפ"ח (10.2.1928) בגרמניה ועלה עם הוריו לארץ בשנת 1933. סיים בית- ספר עממי ותיכון ועזב בצעירותו את בית הוריו. מרץ ואי-שקט רב ליווהו בדרכו. איש התנועה וה"הגנה" המעורב בין הבריות. נדד בכל הארץ בעובדו בקיבוצים ואצל איכרי המושבות. בד בבד עם התמסרותו לחקלאות עמד בבחינות הבגרות והתכונן ללימודיו באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים. עם פרוץ מלחמת-העצמאות לא רצה ליהנות מהחוק הפוטר בנים יחידים מהקרב והלך בנכונות ליחידה לוחמת. הוא צורף לגדוד בחטיבת "גבעתי" והשתתף בקרבות כחבלן. בקרב על נגבה נפצע אך המשיך להילחם עד יום מותו, י"ב באייר תש"ח (21.5.1948). דבריו האחרונים היו: "המשיכו, חברים, עד הסוף!" מיכה הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית- הקברות הצבאי בנגבה.
