Turai Moshe Mizrahi served in the Israel Defense Forces. Moshe served with the Infantry. Moshe served in the War of Independence. Moshe was 17 years old.

What Happened

בן בת-שבע ורחמים, נולד בראש חודש סיוון תר"ץ (28.5.1930) בירושלים. בשנת תש"ד גמר את בית-הספר היסודי "דורש-ציון" בירושלים ולאחר בחינה פסיכוטכנית התחיל ללמוד חשמלאות תוך כדי עבודה בבית-מסחר לחומרי-חשמל. הוא עשה את עבודתו באחריות ובנאמנות, והצטיין בטוב-לבו ובמסירותו להורים. באמצע חודש ינואר 1948 נשלח למחנה-אימונים בנווה שאנן שבירושלים ולאחר אימונים במשך שבועיים נשלח לגיזרת הקסטל. שם השתתף בשלוש פעולות צבאיות של פלוגה ג' בגדוד "מוריה". משה נהרג בפעולה הרביעית שהשתתף בה. הוא יצא עם מחלקתו להציב מארב לתחבורת האויב בכביש ירושלים-רמאללה. בדרך נסיגתה לעטרות הותקפה המחלקה על-ידי המון ערבי, כותרה ומרבית אנשיה נהרגו. בקרב זה נפל, ביום כ"ג באדר א' תש"ח (4.3.1948). נקבר בסנהדריה בירושלים. ביום ה' באלול תשי"א (6.9.1951) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בהר-הרצל בירושלים.
