Turai Refael Asulin served in the Israel Defense Forces. Refael served with the Home Front Command. Refael served in the Six-Day War.

What Happened

בן אליהו וחסיבה. נולד בשנת תרצ"ח (1938) בעיר מרקש אשר במרוקו. סיים את לימודיו בבית ספר יסודי בעיר מולדתו. האם נפטרה בשנת 1953 ומאז ועד ליום נישואיו תמך רפי באביו ובאחיותיו. בבואו לארץ בשנת 1956 הסתפח לקיבוץ. אהב לעבוד בגן אך התפרנס מסנדלרות. מאז בואו לארץ היה נקרא לשרת במילואים. ביום השני לקרבות של מלחמת ששת הימים, כאשר מטוס האויב התרסק בשטח המחנה, נפל רפאל בשעת מילוי תפקידו ביחידה אשר בה שירת (יחידת ההתגוננות האזרחית); זה היה ביום כ"ז באייר תשכ"ז (6.6.1967). הניח אשה. הובא למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות הצבאי בחיפה.
