Natan "Baba" Babachnof
Rav Turai Natan Babachnof served in the Israel Defense Forces. Natan served with the Armored Corps. Natan served in the Sinai Campaign. Natan was 19 years old.
בן ציון ורבקה. נולד ביום ד' בסיון תרצ"ז (14.5.1937) בירושלים. סיים את לימודיו בבית-הספר היסודי של "כל ישראל חברים". היה ספורטאי מטבעו. אהב לסייר במקומות שונים בארץ. אחרי התיתמו מאביו (והוא אז כבן ט"ז) לא נשאר איש מבלעדיו לפרנס את המשפחה. עבד כמכונן ושאף להיות בעל מוסך ומכונאי עצמאי. למד את מקצוע הנהגות בצבא. נפל במערכת-סיני בקרב אבו-עגילה ביום כ"ז במרחשון תשי"ז (1.11.1956). הובא לקבורה בבית-הקברות הצבאי לשעת-חירום בשלח וביום כ"ח בתשרי תשי"ח (23.10.1957) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי שעל הר-הרצל בירושלים.
