Turai Avraham Vainstein served in the Israel Defense Forces. Avraham served with the Golani Brigade. Avraham served in the War of Independence. Avraham was 24 years old.
בן לאה ודוב, נולד ביום ח' בתשרי תרפ"ד (18.10.1923) בעיר צ'רנוביץ, חבל בוקובינה, רומניה וקיבל השכלה עממית. בשנת 1942, השנה השלישית למלחמת-העולם השנייה, הצליח להגיע לארץ כמעפיל, ישב בתל-אביב ועבד כמלצר. אברהם התגייס לחיל השריון ולחטיבת "גולני" במלחמת-העצמאות ונשלח לגליל. ביום י"ג בתשרי תש"ט (16.10.1948) נספה בתאונת-דרכים במזאר שעל-יד עפולה והובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת יצחק. הניח אחריו אישה, ציפורה.
