What Happened

בן יעקב (ז'ק) וחיה. נולד בחמישה-עשר בשבט תש"ג (21.1.1943) בתל אביב. כאשר הגיע לגיל הלימודים למד בבית הספר היסודי על שם דובנוב. השתייך לתנועת "הצופים" לשבט דיזנגוף. לאחר שסיים את לימודיו בבית הספר היסודי המשיך את לימודיו התיכוניים בבית הספר "תיכון חדש" שבתל אביב. גילה חיבה למוסיקה ולספרות. לאחר מכן למד בפקולטה לכלכלה ולמדעי המדינה בשלוחה התל אביבית של האוניברסיטה בתל אביב והשתלם במינהל עסקים; מקור פרנסתו היה יהלומן. באוגוסט 1960 גויס לצה"ל ושירת בנח"ל מוצנח; את שירותו הצבאי סיים בקבוצת שדה בוקר. אחרי שחרורו היה נקרא לשירות מילואים ובמלחמת ששת הימים השתתף כצנחן. אבל ביום כ"ט באב תשכ"ח (23.8.1968) נפל בשעת מילוי תפקידו בבקעת הירדן. הניח אשה וילדה קטנה. הובא למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות הצבאי בקרית שאול. שמו הוזכר בספר "צנחנים מסיני עד גולן". כן הובאו תולדותיו ותיאור הקרב האחרון בספר "נזכור" שבהוצאת האוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים והסתדרות הסטודנטים שבה, בעריכת יהודה האזרחי.
