בן שמואל ורחל (רשל). נולד בתשרי תשי"א (בספטמבר 1950) בבגדד, בירת עירק, ובאמצע 1951 עלתה המשפחה אתו לארץ. את לימודיו היסודיים למד ברעננה, בבית-הספר הממלכתי ב'. השתייך לתנועת "הנוער העובד". כמסגר עבד וכך מצא את לחמו. לצה"ל גויס במאי 1968 ושירת בחיל הרגלים והלוגיסטיקה, והיה חייל מסור וממושמע ומעל לכל "אהב את צה"ל ואת שירותו הצבאי כבן נאמן למולדתו", כלשון מפקד- יחידתו במכתב-התנחומים ששיגר למשפחתו אחרי נפול בנם. אך הוא לא הספיק לגמור גם שנה אחת משירות-החובה שלו, כי בשעת מילוי תפקידו נפצע והועבר לבית-החולים ושם מת מפצעיו; זה היה ביום כ"ד בתמוז תשכ"ח (20.7.1968). הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בקרית שאול. להנצחת זכרו הוכנס ספר-תורה על שם יעקב לבית-הכנסת של עולי עירק שברעננה.
