בן שמחה וסלים, נולד בשנת 1920 בסוריה ועלה לארץ בשנת 1934. בתקופת מלחמת-העצמאות התגייס לצבא, שירת בחטיבת ירושלים ונפל על-יד בתי מנדלבוים בירושלים ביום ו' באב תש"ח (11.8.1948). נקבר בשייח'-באדר א'. ביום י"ז באלול תש"י (30.8.1950) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית- הקברות הצבאי בהר-הרצל בירושלים.
