Samal Dror Levi served in the Israel Defense Forces. Dror served with the Paratroopers Brigade.
בן יצחק ועדה. האב היה ממייסדי-הרצליה והסב - ממייסדי ראש-פינה ומראשוני-"השומר". נולד בתשרי תרצ"ז (ספטמבר 1936) בהרצליה. אחרי סיימו את לימודיו בבית-הספר היסודי על-שם וייצמן במושבה למד שנה אחת בבית-הספר המקצועי "שבח" בתל-אביב. השתייך ל"הנוער העובד", "המכבי הצעיר" ול"זבולון". גדנ"עי בנעוריו. התגייס לצה"ל חצי שנה לפני הגיעו לגיל-הגיוס, באוגוסט 1954, ושירת בחיל-הצנחנים. נפל בשעת מילוי תפקידו ביום כ"ה בניסן תשט"ז (6.4.1956) והובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות בהרצליה. זכרו הועלה בספרו של אורי מילשטיין, "מלחמות הצנחנים".
