Turai Eliezer-Alexander Rauh served in the Israel Defense Forces. Eliezer-Alexander served with the Armored Corps. Eliezer-Alexander served in the Sinai Campaign. Eliezer-Alexander was 24 years old.

What Happened

בן יעקב וידויגה. נולד ביום י"ז באלול תרצ"ב (18.9.1932) בעיר קליש אשר בפולין. סיים את לימודיו בבית-ספר יסודי שם ולאחר-מכן למד בבית-ספר "אורט" בגרמניה. בשנות 1947-1948 היה מדריך באימוני "הגנה" במחנה אחד אשר בדרום-צרפת ולאחר-מכן ירד באניית-מעפילים וגם שם המשיך בפעילותו כמדריך ב"הגנה". הגיע לחופי הארץ בשנת 1948. לאחר שעמד בבחינות-אכסטרנים וקיבל תעודת-בגרות נתקבל בטכניון העברי בחיפה. עבד כחרט בבית-חרושת והיה ראש ועד-העובדים בו. השתייך ל"הפועל" ככדורגלן ואף לאחר שגויס לצה"ל במאי 1951, במסגרת חיל-האויר, היה בקבוצה הנבחרת של החיל. נפל בקרב במערכת-סיני ביום כ"ה במרחשון תשי"ז (30.10.1956) והובא לקבורה בבית-הקברות הצבאי לשעת-חירום בשלח, וביום י"ב במרחשון תשי"ח (6.11.1957) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בקרית-שאול.
