Creator Breaks Down Finale Decision For Decider, Says She’s “Definitely” Open To Reboot Or Spin-off When the end credits roll on the third and final season of Tell Me Lies, fans will undoubtedly feel a sense of closure in the 2015 timeline. But the’ll also have a long list of burning questions left unanswered, like do Bree (Cat Missal) and Wrigley (Spencer House) end up together?!

In a Season 3 finale interview with Tell Me Lies creator/showrunner/writer Meaghan Oppenheimer, DECIDER made sure to ask some popular fan questions about events between 2009 and 2015. But we also had to know if the sweet smile that Wrigley and Bree shared across the room mid-wedding reception chaos meant they’d find a way to be together in the future.

The majorly unexpected, delightfully endearing new romance took fans by surprise in Season 3. While we didn’t get to spend nearly as much time watching them on-screen as we would have liked, Oppenheimer’s writing and Missal and House’s vulnerable performances made Brigley’s connection felt remarkably warm, authentic, and established in a very limited amount of time. So was the palpable chemistry strong enough to secure their endgame? Here’s what Missal, House, and Oppenheimer had to say about Bree and Wrigley’s fate beyond the series finale.

“I don’t like to futurize anything for them in case, but yeah. I love them together,” Missal told Decider when asked if Brigley endures. “I think that there’s a deep truth in their relationship that’s a rare thing. So I hope the best for them both.”

“Yeah, of course,” House eched. “I don’t think they would have put that final shot of them locking eyes and smiling if if it wasn’t to tell the audience that this is the direction that it’s going.” And he’s right!

“I even wrote in the script, ‘You get the sense that despite all this carnage, these two are going to find a way to work it out.'”

In Oppenheimer’s interview with Decider, she officially confirmed Brigley survives the chaotic Tell Me Lies finale and finds a way to be together after Bree and Evan’s wedding.

“Oh yeah! We were very specific about filming that moment in the finale,” Oppenheimer confirmed. “I even wrote in the script, ‘You get the sense that despite all this carnage, these two are going to find a way to work it out.’ I wrote that in the scene description.”

After Stephen takes the mic at the reception and the truth about the friend group’s secrets finally comes out, it seems that Brigley, along with Diana (Alicia Crowder) and Pippa (Sonia Mena) — who leave the event hand-in-hand — make it work. But Tell Me Lies star Branden Cook can’t imagine anyone else’s friendships surviving the wedding weekend.

“They all should not have stopped being friends a long time ago,” Cook told Decider when asked if Evan and Wrigley’s friendship could survive the Bree bombshell. “I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did. I mean, to even invite these people to the wedding is crazy, so I don’t know what happened with that. But, yeah, I think it’s over. I think Evan’s onto something new.”

So there you have it, Tell Me Lies fans. Too many tragic, toxic things happened throughout these three seasons of TV to track. But in the end, at least we got Brigley!

Tell Me Lies Season 3 is now streaming on Hulu.
