A crazed shopper chased a woman through a thrift store in Kentucky with a knife then viciously plunged it into her chest and bit her — declaring the victim “got what she came for,” according to cops who arrested her.
Madison Hinchey, 30, allegedly flipped out inside the Goodwill shop in Murray on April 21 — screaming and whacking a worker who tried to intervene with a metal shovel, police said in a press release.
Hinchey ran into the store at around 1:35 p.m., pulled a large knife from her purse and chased the other woman through racks of second-hand clothing into a loading dock, according to the Murray Police Department.
She stabbed the victim once in the chest then chomped down on her — before hitting an employee with a metal snow shovel, according to police.
When cops arrived at the store, they allegedly spotted Hinchey “wrestling” with employees who were trying to stop the unhinged attack, police told the local station Fox 56.
“[She] got what she came for,” Hinchey allegedly hissed to cops, as she was led in handcuffs to a police cruiser.
The unidentified victim was airlifted to a hospital in Nashville for treatment. Her condition was unclear as of Friday.
Hinchey was charged with attempted murder, second-degree assault, and fourth-degree assault.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the woman knew each other or what may have triggered the attack.
Hinchey was booked into Calloway County Jail in Murray, where she’s still in custody.
