A brute punched an on-duty MTA employee in the face during a fight inside a Midtown subway station early Tuesday, cops said.
A 49-year-old man slugged the male worker around 3:40 a.m. on the southbound platform of the 47-50 Streets-Rockefeller Center hub, which serves the B, D, F and M trains, police said.
The victim went to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition with minor injuries, cops said.

Police did not immediately know what sparked the fracas.
The assault came less than two weeks after a Bronx subway conductor was spat on and severely beaten by an outraged passenger whom he had ordered off a train, according to police.
