The Knicks have a fresh injury concern right before the playoffs.
OG Anunoby missed the entire second half of the Knicks’ game against the Raptors Friday night at Madison Square Garden with a left ankle injury.
He seemingly suffered the injury when he tripped over Scottie Barnes’ foot and fell to the ground during the beginning of the second quarter, though he wasn’t visibly in pain.
Anunoby then exited with 7:30 left in the second quarter and was later ruled out for the rest of the game. It is possible it was just precautionary.
Anunoby had just two points on 1-for-4 shooting before exiting.

They won’t play Game 1 of their first-round series until either next Saturday or Sunday.
Assuming the Knicks hold on to beat the Raptors — they held a big lead when Anunoby was ruled out — and the Celtics’ hold onto their big lead on the Pelicans, the Knicks will be locked into the No. 3 seed.

That would make Sunday’s regular season finale against the Hornets at MSG meaningless, allowing Anunoby to rest.
Anunoby missed nine games earlier this year due to a hamstring injury, as well as four games later in the year after losing a toenail.
