That is, unless Brooklyn stumbled at the finish, and fumbled a golden opportunity.
The Nets knew they could clinch a Top 3 seed in next month’s lottery with losses Friday in Milwaukee and in Sunday’s finale in Toronto. And of all the teams in the lottery, Brooklyn may need a high pick the most.
