Mets manager Carlos Mendoza has made some sound decisions with pinch hitters and pinch runners that have helped the team win four straight entering Wednesday.

That includes Ronny Mauricio hitting for Tyrone Taylor in the 10th inning Tuesday, when Mauricio cracked a walk-off single to right field in his first at-bat of the season.

Aaron Boone, too, has effectively used his Yankees bench players, with Amed Rosario’s two-homer game in Tuesday’s victory the latest example.
