While interviewing actress Sydney Sweeney on the red carpet, scorned Summer House star Ciara Miller made a dig at her former best friend, Amanda Batula, and her ex-boyfriend, West Wilson.
In a clip from Tuesday night’s (April 7) premiere event, Miller subtly compares her current situation in the Summer House universe to a famous storyline in Euphoria.
“I mean, if you steal your friend’s ex-boyfriend … What do you think is the next step?” she asks Sweeney, who cringes as she says the situation is “not good.”
“I feel like you ought to get married,” Miller goes on to suggest, to which Sweeney replies, “I mean, I would hope so — you gotta make it worth it. Like, make it worth something because that’s just worth too much pain.”
Miller then agrees, “You gotta make it worth it.”
The best part of the whole clip? While the average Euphoria fan knows Miller is referring to Sweeney’s character Cassie dating her best friend Maddy’s (Alexa Demie) ex-boyfriend Nate (Jacob Elordi), seasoned Bravo fans quickly clocked that Miller was also referring to a similar situation she is currently dealing with among her Summer House co-stars. You see, Miller’s best friend, Batula, released a joint statement with her ex-boyfriend, Wilson, confirming their romance last week. To put it in Euphoria terms, Miller is the Maddy of the situation, Batula is Cassie, and Wilson is Nate.
View this post on Instagram Miller and Wilson first sparked a romance back when he joined Summer House in Season 8. While they dated well into the fall months—and he even brought her to meet his family in Missouri—Wilson ended up breaking things off for “show-related reasons,” leaving Miller heartbroken. After refusing to acknowledge Wilson for most of the following summer, Miller eventually gave in to rebuilding their friendship come Season 10. Their undeniable chemistry and lingering feelings had fans pushing for them to rekindle their romance in recent months, though it all came crashing down when, after weeks of hookup rumors, Wilson and Batula confirmed that they were dating in a joint statement. Plot twist!
Miller has been rather quiet about the situation, presumably saving it all for the upcoming Season 10 reunion. However, she did tell Jon Hamm on the Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 red carpet that she’s “been better,” and her interaction with Sweeney at the Euphoria event no doubt had Batula and Wilson asking themselves, “Wait, is this fucking play about us?!”
Euphoria Season 3 premieres on Sunday, April 12 on HBO Max, and new episodes of Summer House air every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
