The US-Iran ceasefire was announced in the early hours of this morning, around 90 minutes before Trump's 20:00 EDT (01:00 BST) deadline for Iran to make a deal. Both countries have agreed to a conditional two-week halt in action, during which shipping traffic will be allowed through the Strait of Hormuz. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who has been mediating negotiations, said early on Wednesday that the ceasefire was effective immediately. International Editor Jeremy Bowen talks about the development to Today's Emma Barnett.
