Taylor Frankie Paul was only granted “supervised” visits with her and ex Dakota Mortensen’s 2-year-old son in the latest temporary custody arrangement.
On Tuesday, a judge ruled that the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star is allowed to see Ever for up to six hours per week until the next court hearing on April 30.
“I’m concerned about her volability,” the judge said in court. “When she snaps, there is significance to it.”
The judge cited the newly released 2023 video of Paul, 31, attacking Mortensen, 33, in front of her now 8-year-old daughter, Indy. At the time, Indy was allegedly hit in the head with a metal chair thrown by Paul.
“She did not realize that the child was being exposed,” the judge claimed. “That’s one of the concerns I have to reviewing the videos.”
Mortensen’s lawyer echoed the judge’s concerns, claiming that Paul experiences moments when she is “completely out of control” and “reckless in her behavior towards the children.”
“They happen to be in the line of fire. They will get harmed,” the attorney said.
Paul’s lawyer defended his client, stating that he was “concerned” about Mortensen’s lack of credibility, citing how he allegedly slammed her head into a car dashboard last month, per a new restraining order request.
“Dakota pushes buttons, he’s excellent at that,” the attorney claimed. “As long as they stay apart, then there is no risk to the child … the child is safe with Taylor, the child thrives with Taylor.”
Additionally, Paul’s lawyer claimed that she was “no risk” to her children.
An attorney on behalf of Ever also spoke out, citing Paul’s physical aggression toward Mortensen and how she could’ve called the police and asked for a trespassing charge instead.
“Lack of total self-control. That really concerns me,” Ever’s attorney said, agreeing to “supervised visits.”
The exes will return to court at the end of the month to discuss their separate orders of protection and custody of Ever.
Paul shares Ever with Mortensen, along with Indy and a 5-year-old son, Ocean, with her ex-husband, Tate Paul.
On March 20, Mortensen gained “temporary custody” of Ever with “no parent time allowed” for Paul after he filed a restraining order against her, People reported.

The decision came as Paul and Mortensen were being investigated due to an alleged domestic altercation that occurred between them in February.
The Draper City Police Department told People that “allegations have been made in both directions” and “contact was made with involved parties.”
As the investigation played out, filming for the forthcoming season of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” temporarily paused.
Additionally, 2023 footage of Paul hitting and throwing chairs at Mortensen surfaced, which previously led to the TikTok star being arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault and two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child.
She also received one misdemeanor count each of child abuse and criminal mischief.
While the Hulu star pleaded guilty to the aggravated assault, the other charges were dropped.
Paul’s rep referred to the clip as “selectively edited” and called out Mortensen’s “never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child.”
“[Doing this] on their son [Ever’s] birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own behavior,” the rep told Page Six.
Mortensen, meanwhile, denied the “baseless claims” against him, telling us, “As anyone who has seen the video will understand, this is a deeply upsetting situation.”
