A traffic police officer in Bachu county in Xinjiang, northwestern China, stopped a small-sized truck one evening at the end of March after noticing a woman hanging herself outside the trailer of the vehicle without any protective equipment, the Xinjiang Legal Daily reported.
The truck driver, surnamed Yu, was surprised to see that the woman, who is his wife, was tied to the back of his vehicle.
The woman confessed to the police that she suspected her husband was having an affair. When he was driving the truck to leave home, she secretly clung to the trailer as an effort to stalk him.
Yu was fined 200 yuan (US$30) and had three points deducted from his annual 12-point record because he failed to check its condition before driving it.

The woman in Wuhan, central Hubei province, initially turned to firefighters on March 26, according to a report by Jimu News.
