Forget the filler — this peptide serum is like shapewear for your face

There’s a new word making its way into skincare: biotech — and the brand Bioelements is becoming a key player.

The brand’s latest launch, Firmwear, is a biotech-powered firming serum that uses a triple-pathway approach to visibly lift, smooth and strengthen skin.

At the center of the formula is a biomimetic miniprotein. It’s designed to mimic growth factors that help support collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, all naturally produced by the body and part of the underlying network that keeps skin looking firm in the first place.

The serum also boasts a retinol alternative complex that pairs a retinopeptide with bakuchiol. Together, they aim to deliver some of the well-known benefits of retinol, like improved texture and reduced fine lines, without the irritation that often comes with it. For anyone who’s ever had to choose between results and redness, that’s not a minor detail.

The formula also includes cica-derived exosomes, which are meant to calm inflammation and support the skin barrier.

Bioelements isn’t just making claims here; it points to a 42-day consumer perception study across women ages 35 to 56, where 90% reported firmer-looking skin, 85% said skin looked more lifted and 87% saw fewer visible fine lines.

Whether “biotech” becomes the next big skincare category remains to be seen, but Firmwear is trying to make sure it’s part of the conversation — and we’re listening!
