A $4 trillion technology investment cycle could reshape the sector over the next several years, and former Wedbush analyst Dan Ives is positioning six names to benefit from that trend.
His five preferred technology stocks for 2027 are Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ:PLTR), Apple (AAPL) and CrowdStrike (NASDAQ:CRWD). The group covers semiconductors, cloud computing, enterprise software, consumer technology and cybersecurity.

Ives also pointed to Tesla (TSLA) separately as his favored disruptive technology play, giving the electric-vehicle maker a different role in his broader technology thesis.
Performance has varied sharply among the names this year. Nvidia has gained about 27% year to date, while Apple and Microsoft are higher by roughly 23% and 12%, respectively. Palantir has advanced about 14%, and CrowdStrike has surged nearly 146%. Tesla has moved in the opposite direction, falling about 14%.
The spending backdrop is central to Ives' view. Goldman Sachs estimates worldwide investment tied to AI infrastructure could reach $4 trillion by 2030 as companies expand data centers, computing capacity and related systems.
