Make New York Post a Preferred Source Mayor Zohran Mamdani finally received federal security clearance, he said Wednesday — just a week after his chummy get together with President Trump at Gracie Mansion.
It’s unclear exactly when Hizzoner was given the clearance, which gives him the ability to receive classified briefings on potential terror threats and other top secret information related to the Big Apple.
“Yes, I have my security clearance,” the mayor said in a rare pithy response to a reporter’s question at an unrelated press conference in Brooklyn.
The lack of briefings made headlines this month after it emerged that the mayor still did not have top-level clearance more than eight months into his tenure, raising concerns that he would be unable to react quickly during an emergency.

News of the green light came after Trump visited Mamdani at the mayor’s residence in Manhattan during the United Nations General Assembly early last week.
The two said they had only discussed New York and potential housing projects during their continued bromance meet-up on Sept. 21.
Insiders have said the months-long delay to clear Mamdani, a 34-year-old former state Assembly member, was not uncommon given his limited experience in government.
He wasn’t the only mayor without the ability to receive classified briefings.

Former Mayor Bill de Blasio — Mamdani’s favorite living mayor — didn’t even apply for his clearance until around nine months in office, when The Post revealed he hadn’t filled out the applications.
Blaz finally received the approval the next year, more than a year-and-a-half into his first term.
