Make New York Post a Preferred Source Mattel CEO Ynon Kreiz is expected to take a top executive role at the Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery media giant — either president or co-CEO of the combined companies, sources told The Post.
A well-placed source said Kreiz will grab the reins at David Ellison’s soon-to-be combined entertainment giant as it completes its merger following an antitrust battle with California Attorney General Rob Bonta.
“It’s a very senior position, either president or co-ceo,” the source said.

Kreiz told Mattel’s board that he was leaving the toy giant for a senior role, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
“Ynon sees himself as a mogul. He’s not going there to take a division,” a source close to the situation said, adding that Kreiz is leaving Mattel for “money, power and status.”
Kreiz cannot be appointed to any position at the combined company until judge Martínez-Olguín signs off on its settlement with state attorneys general and the deal officially closes on Oct. 5.

At Mattel, he was responsible for pushing the company into entertainment with box office blockbusters like “Barbie.”
The exec also previously served as the president of Maker Studios where he negotiated its sale to Disney, and before that, he was CEO of Endemol, a European production company.
