Make Page Six a Preferred Source John Goodman showed off his 200-pound weight loss transformation at the “Digger” premiere in Los Angeles on Monday.
The actor, 74, looked sharp in a black suit with a striped shirt and gray tie on the red carpet.
He posed for photos both by himself and with his wife, Anna Beth, who wore a long maroon dress and matching heels.
Goodman plays the President of the United States in Tom Cruise’s new satirical film, which premieres in theaters on Friday.
Cruise, 64, also attended the premiere alongside co-stars Riz Ahmed, Jesse Plemons, Sandra Hüller, Michael Stuhlbarg, Emma D’Arcy, Robert John Burke and director Alejandro González Iñárritu.
In July, Goodman revealed he fractured his hip after he slipped in his stockinged feet and fell on the set of “Digger.”
“There was a brilliant doctor on set, and he got me into the Cleveland Clinic [in London],” the “Roseanne” alum told the Hollywood Reporter. “They operated the next morning, and so far, so good.”
Goodman has proudly shown off his slimmed-down look after kick-starting his weight loss journey in 2007.
At his heaviest, Goodman weighed around 400 pounds before he quit drinking, hired a personal trainer, cut sugar out of his diet and adopted a Mediterranean-style diet.
“It takes a lot of creative energy to sit on your ass and figure out what you’re going to eat next,” the “10 Cloverfield Lane” star told People in 2010.

Speaking to ABC News in 2016, Goodman remembered how “in the old days,” when he was heavier, he’d “take three months out, lose 60 or 70 pounds, and then reward myself with a 6-pack of bud or whatever and just go back to my old habits.”
“This time I wanted to do it slowly, move, exercise,” he explained. “I’m getting to the age where I can’t afford to sit still anymore.”
The Emmy winner added, “And it gives me the energy to work, ‘cause work is very draining.”
In 2023, Goodman told Rolling Stone he lost 200 pounds by taking up boxing.
“It’s usually just an hour, hour and a half of hitting the mitts, hitting the bags, learning footwork, he said. “It’s great.”
