Welcome to the latest chapter of the Caleb Williams injury reaction saga where two former NFLers are attempting their best WWE impressions.
In one corner stands Fournette, who threatened to “DDT the f–k out of” Acho.
In the other section of the proverbial ring is Acho, who responded by questioning the former Super Bowl champion’s intelligence and telling him to “pick up a book.”
Let’s just say The Rock’s famous “My name’s Billy” promo isn’t being challenged by this back-and-forth.
It all started when Acho, the former NFLer whose NFL takes are known to have riled up a person or two, called out Williams for his fist-pumping and tearful reaction for what would be diagnosed a hamstring strain.
“Crying on the cart fist pump is reserved for done for season or career,” Acho said. “You cannot cry on a cart and walk out the stadium.”
In Acho’s defense, Williams is being ridiculed across every corner of the internet for his reaction.
Most thought his season had ended during the Bears’ 9-3 loss to the Vikings but he instead has yet to be ruled out for Monday’s home clash against the Eagles.

AP Photo/Nam Y. Huh Fournette, the former first-round pick, didn’t love Acho’s opinion on the matter and physically threatened him in a rather odd response.
“Emmanuel Acho, how you gonna tell somebody how to cope with the injury? You said he’s fist pumping … I see why people don’t like you. Like you say s–t for clickbait,” Fournette said on his “4th and South” podcast. “And you know for a fact all the f–king hard work we put in in the summertime. How can you say that, bro? Nobody wants to be hurt. Nobody wants to miss out on an opportunity to help their team win.
“Emmanuel Acho, stop clickbaiting, bro. Stop doing that. I’m going to call (streamer) Adin Ross. Boy, we gonna set up a fight. I’m going to DDT the f–k out of you, I got to. Because why you doing this to those young guys? Stop letting this man hop on his mic and say this dumb s–t about these young days. I’m not about to sit up there and down talk another man, especially when he’s hurt. You don’t do that, that’s weak. … Stop doing that s–t for clickbait before I catch you and bat the piss out of you.”
Acho obviously had to respond and decided to talk down to Fournette while the 35-year-old said he’s “too old” to be fighting anybody.
He also called out Fournette for mispronouncing his last name.
“People who always rush to fight have only trained their body and they haven’t trained their brain. Because I’ve trained my brain, why would I resort to only using my body?” Acho said on his “Speakeasy” podcast. “See, Leonard, I really question your intelligence because you can’t even pronounced a four-letter word — Acho, not echo — but now I’m over here thinking the biggest word you probably know is your name. But that’s probably why they called you Lenny because I don’t even know if you can spell your own name. Struggling on a Scantron as a kid like, ‘Where’s the H in Leonard?'”
“I’m not going to sit here and try to address you physically because you got that. You’re a first-round pick, bro. Congratulation to you. With that being said, you’re retired so hang up the athletic dreams. Pick up a book, you don’t need to be hooked on creatine, you don’t need to be hooked on the weights, maybe try Hooked On Phonics. That’s the dilemma. I’m not going to sit here and try to like combat with somebody physically, I’m done training physically. I train intellectually. I would encourage you to do the same thing.”
We’ll wait with baited breath for the next chapter in this saga and perhaps we should note that we’re only roughly seven months away from the Fournette-Acho WrestleMania match nobody wants.
