Add The California Post on Google The SUV driver accused of plowing into a Los Angeles Metro bus and killing two people has been identified as 36-year-old Bailee Lynn Rios, authorities said.
Rios was booked in connection with the deadly Tuesday collision and is being held on $4.03 million bail, according to booking information.
On Wednesday morning, the LA County Department of the Medical Examiner identified the victims of the bus crash as Gage Weida, 31, and Daniel Castillo, 46.
The T-bone collision happened near Nordhoff Street and De Soto Avenue in Chatsworth when the SUV slammed into the Metro bus, becoming lodged inside the vehicle.
Two people were killed and six others were injured, including Rios, according to police. Authorities previously said Rios was suspected of reckless driving, running a red light and possible DUI.
The shocking crash was followed by another tragedy when an NBC helicopter covering the wreck plunged from the sky near the scene, killing reporter Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw and pedestrian Edy Gutierrez Mejia.
